If I didn't procrastinate, nothing would get finished!

I am crazily crocheting in order to finish all the last minute Christmas presents that popped into my head.  I just discovered Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick yarn which is a lifesaver!  Projects can be finished so quickly with this yarn!  Just made a hat and a scarf for my mother in law, though I am tempted to keep it for myself.  Now on to the headbands for the little girls I know and attempt some Sackboy beanies for 2 boys.

Next year, all the gifts we give will be handmade.  It is just so much easier really.  I can crochet, which I love, and feel better about not buying the cheap junk that is so readily available!  Hope all our friends and family don't mind!

Oh, that shirt that I was attempting for the Avenged Sevenfold concert 2 weeks ago?  Massive fail!  I bought a shirt that was a small.  Hello??!?!?  I haven't been in a small since I was a freshman in high school.  Not sure how that one happened.  So it was off to the mall to find a some shirt that would show the tattoo on my back, which was the main point of the shirt I was going to make.  I did manage to find the perfect top, and we had an amazing time.  Avenged Sevenfold was awesome.  It was so great to see the band that got us together in Vegas!

Oh, if only I could sew!

I cannot sew.  My Grammom attempted to teach me several times, but she always had to take over.  Lines are never straight, and most of the time they are not even on the fabric!  Don't even get me started on tangles and knots.

So I have in my mind a certain shirt that I want to make and wear for the Avenged Sevenfold concert in Vegas.  Its needs to be a fun shirt, not like all the ones you can buy at the mall.  If I were to order one of these, it would have been atleast $50.  Or it would have to come from Hong Kong!  I originally asked my sister to help, but she has a lot to do and this shirt seems to be a huge undertaking.

Yet, undertaking it I am.  Without a sewing machine and with the previously mentioned lack of sewing skills, I will attempt to take 2 shirts and turn them into one fabulous "Vegas-worthy" shirt.  Oh, did I mention that it needs to show off my Avenged Sevenfold tattoo?  Oh, and did I also mention that this concert is on Saturday?

Off I go to attempt this potentially disasterous crafting expedition.  Pictures to follow.

Wow, I am really starting this!

So this is my first post.  I am not quite sure how to go about doing a blog, what to write, what pictures to post.  I will do my best!
